My first full work week is over :-). And it\u2019s been quite the diverse week for sure: Since flu shot clinics were held (by the department I\u2019m still working most for most of the time until the end of October which is Debbie\u2019s) to give every employee the chance to get their flu shot at work, a colleague and I were at every location for 30 minutes- 2.5 hours to greet people and check them off our lists. It was very interesting because this way I got to see all our work sites in Moberly and met a bunch of people (too many to remember all their names for sure) within two days.
\nI also started training within my new department a little bit, familiarizing myself with all things trademark. As would be the case with any job that was just created for the sole purpose of keeping someone, there isn\u2019t a job description or clear plan for all I will be doing \u2013 I suspect (and have been told as much) I\u2019ll be able to shape that myself to some degree and things will fall into place more once I\u2019m working for just the legal department.<\/p>\n

Meine erste volle Arbeitswoche ist vorbei :-). Und es war eine durchaus abwechslungsreiche: Da in dieser Woche die M\u00f6glichkeit zur Grippeimpfung in allen Firmenzweigen bestand (koordiniert von Debbies Abteilung f\u00fcr die ich bis Ende Oktober weiterhin vornehmlich arbeiten werde), waren eine Kollegin und ich an allen Standorten zwischen 30 Minuten und 2einhalb Stunden, um die zu Impfenden zu begr\u00fc\u00dfen und abzuhaken. Das war f\u00fcr mich sehr interessant, da ich nicht nur alle Standorte in Moberly innerhalb von 2 Tagen sehen, sondern auch einen Haufen Leute kennenlernen konnte (zu viele um mich an alle Namen zu erinnern).
\nMeine Einarbeitung in der neuen Abteilung hat diese Woche ebenfalls angefangen, zumindest ein bisschen und zwar mit einer Einf\u00fchrung rund um das Thema Marken. Da meine Stelle letzten Freitag vornehmlich daf\u00fcr geschaffen wurde mich hierzubehalten, gibt es weder eine Stellenbeschreibung noch einen klaren Plan daf\u00fcr was ich so tun werde \u2013 ich vermute (und es wurde mir auch so gesagt), dass ich Vieles selbst bestimmen kann und dass es ein bisschen mehr Klarheit \u00fcber meine Aufgaben geben wird, wenn ich ausschlie\u00dflich f\u00fcr die Rechtsabteilung arbeite.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

On the non-work front we also had a busy week \u2013 Adam\u2019s uncle Dan and his boyfriend Scott were in town for their annual visit and we got to celebrate their 23rd<\/sup><\/span> anniversary with them.
\nAlso: what better way to end a week than with a smoking sushi boat :)? Good times!!<\/span>

Im nicht-Arbeitsleben waren wir diese Woche auch wieder \u00e4u\u00dferst besch\u00e4ftigt \u2013 Adams Onkel Dan und sein Freund Scott waren zu ihrem j\u00e4hrlichen Besuch in Macon und wir haben alle gemeinsam ihren 23igsten Jahrestag gefeiert.
\nAu\u00dferdem haben wir die Woche mit einem rauchenden Sushi-Boot beendet – was gibt es Besseres :)? Super Sache!!<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

\nYou can tell that fall is coming here as well now \u2013 the leaves are turning color and falling of the trees slowly but steadily and for the first time this week we didn\u2019t have temperatures exceeding 75 degrees each day (more like 63-68\u00b0). I\u2019m rather pleased with that actually ^^. It\u2019s still nice and mostly sunny so what else could I ask for?<\/span>

Man merkt, dass es auch hier langsam Herbst wird \u2013 die Bl\u00e4tter \u00e4ndern ihre Farbe und fallen so langsam aber sicher von den B\u00e4umen und zum ersten Mal ist es diese Woche nicht mehr jeden Tag w\u00e4rmer als 25 Grad (es hat eher so 15-20\u00b0). Ich bin ehrlich gesagt ganz froh ^^. Es ist immer noch haupts\u00e4chlich sch\u00f6n und sonnig, also was will man mehr?<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
