First let me follow up on my recent newsflash :). My first day of work was not Friday, but will be Monday – the results for my drug test didn’t come back till late last night. I really can’t complain because I’m basically starting work at Orscheln with my attendance at their Fall Party tonight.
\nMy screening on Wednesday with the University of Missouri in Columbia went well also – yesterday I was invited to an on-campus interview next Thursday, so more fingers crossed please :-D.
\nZuerst einmal m\u00f6chte ich an meine Eilmeldung von Dienstag ankn\u00fcpfen :). Mein erster Arbeitstag war doch nicht am Freitag, aber am Montag ist es soweit – die Ergebnisse des Drogentests kamen nicht vor gestern Abend. Ich beschwer mich nicht, d.h. n\u00e4mlich dass ich meine Stelle bei Orscheln mit der Teilnahme an der Herbstparty starte, die heute Abend stattfindet.
\nDas erste Interview mit der University of Missouri (kurz MU) in Columbia am Mittwoch war gut und gestern wurde ich zu einem Interview auf dem Uni Campus eingeladen – das findet kommenden Donnerstag statt. Also weiter Daumen dr\u00fccken bitte :-D.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This week also marked another trip to St. Louis – I couldn’t have thought of a better reason to go: we met Sepp& Rachel there who are spending a week in the States with her familiy near Springfield, Illinois and so we decided to meet halfway. Of course we had to pay the Arch another visit (Sepp had never been there).
\nDiese Woche war es mal wieder an der Zeit f\u00fcr einen Besuch in St. Louis und es h\u00e4tte keinen besseren Grund daf\u00fcr geben k\u00f6nnen: Wir haben uns mit Sepp& Rachel getroffen, die eine Woche bei ihrer Familie in Springfield, Illinois verbringen und uns somit in der Mitte verabredet. Nat\u00fcrlich sind wir nochmal am Arch vorbei (Sepp war noch nie vorher dort).<\/strong>

\nAs you might not expect when 4 grown-ups meet up, we went on to the zoo after lunch :D. This is due to the fact that Sepp, Rachel and myself are big zoo lovers and Adam, well, he had to tag along. It was great though because since all the kids are back in school, the zoo was almost deserted. And it’s free so always a great place to go – especially because it’s a beautiful park on top of it all.
\nMan w\u00fcrde es nicht unbedingt erwarten wenn sich 4 Erwachsene treffen, aber nach dem Mittagessen sind wir in den Zoo gefahren :D. Das ist dem Fakt geschuldet, dass Sepp, Rachel und ich sehr gerne in Zoos gehen und Adam, tja, der musste halt mit. Es war jedenfalls super – total leer weil alle Kinder wieder in der Schule sind und Zoos hier kosten meist keinen Eintritt. Lohnt sich also – besonders weil der Zoo auch ein echt sch\u00f6ner Park ist.<\/strong>

\nI should also mention that yesterday way Adam’s Grandma’s 80th birthday so we all went out to eat with her and spent an evening together. Her birthday candle-blow out-wish was to make it to at least 104 :).
\nIch sollte au\u00dferdem erw\u00e4hnen, dass gestern der 80. Geburtstag von Adams Oma war, also waren wir alle zusammen essen und haben den Abend mit ihr verbracht. Ihr Geburtstagskerze-Ausblas-Wunsch war es mindestens noch bis 104 durchzuhalten :).<\/strong>

\nI’d better warn you now: with a job I will probably have to cease posting every week because I will simply not have the time. But I promise to provide regular updates!
