Guess what? Looks like I suddenly have a job. One call from Debbie later (at 10 am yesterday) I find myself on the way to Moberly and Orscheln (the company she works for) to meet her co-worker and hear about the temporary position (for the next 3 months) they want me to take to help them out. Am I interested? Hell yeah! So I got drug tested immediately (thanks to Debbie’s insistence :-)) and am supposed to start on Friday. I’m still flabbergasted but I love it! Especially because I’ll be somewhat flexible in my schedule and a) won’t have to cancel any plans that have already been made and b) will be here for the kids on Mondays as before and c) will be able to work on weekends some starting mid-October. So Adam and I can drive to work together and I can probably take a day off during the week. Yeah!<\/p>\n
Ratet mal was gestern passiert ist?! Einen Anruf von Debbie sp\u00e4ter war ich pl\u00f6tzlich auf dem Weg nach Moberly um ihre Kollegin kennenzulernen und \u00fcber die tempor\u00e4re Stelle (f\u00fcr die n\u00e4chsten 3 Monate) zu sprechen, die die beiden mir anzubieten hatten. Ob ich interessiert w\u00e4re? Aber hallo! Also wurde ich sofort zum Drogentest geschickt (dank Debbie Hartn\u00e4ckigkeit :-). Drogentests machen hier alle Arbeitgeber bevor man anf\u00e4ngt und danach gerne immer mal wieder nach Zufallsprinzip) und fange wohl am Freitag an! Ich bin immer noch leicht entgeistert aber freu mich voll. Besonders weil meine Arbeitszeiten recht flexibel sei werden uns ich somit a) keine schon bestehenden Pl\u00e4ne absagen muss, b) weiterhin montags f\u00fcr die Kids hier sein werde und c) ab ca. Mitte Oktober wohl auch mal am Wochenende arbeiten und somit mit Adam fahren und daf\u00fcr einen Wochentag frei haben kann. Yeah.<\/strong><\/p>\n Also I’m about to have another job interview for a position at MU in Columbia.
