\u2026 I think I\u2019ll celebrate just like Bill did this weekend\u00a0:). He basically threw himself a party from Saturday afternoon until Sunday night \u2013 good times. Saturday we were at their house with friends of theirs and just hung out. We stayed the night and woke up to this:
\n\u2026 dann werde ich genauso feiern wollen wie Bill \ud83d\ude42<\/strong>. <\/strong>Er hat quasi von Samstag Nachmittag bis Sonntag Abend durchgefeiert. Am Samstag waren wir mit Freunden meiner Schwiegereltern bei ihnen zuhause und haben dort auch \u00fcbernachtet. Aufgewacht sind wir zu diesem Schauspiel:
\n\"\"<\/a>\"\"<\/a><\/strong>I can\u2019t stress enough \u2013 this is March 11th<\/sup> and the most snow we\u2019ve had all (very cold) winter (long). And guess what vehicle we were in \u2013 that\u2019s right \u2013 the truck. So we slid all the way home (and I didn\u2019t like it one bit). I should say the snow was gone almost entirely by early afternoon, which is impressive when you consider how much it was\u2026 but good riddance! Anni-way \u2013 right around lunchtime Bill called and said he was buying himself birthday lunch and did we want to go with? Sure we did. They picked us up and started going North, so we ended up in Kirksville \u2013 at a Mexican restaurant\u2019s last day in business (out of shrimp, out of chorizo, out of Busch Light, almost out of hot sauce, out of gold tequila\u2026) and then at a bar with a very skanky basement that we played pool & foosball in for hours. That made this the 6th<\/sup> Sunday in a row that I was unsuccessfully trying to get a couple of hours of reading in on the couch, lol. There\u2019s always next weekend, right?
\nIch kann es gar nicht genug betonen \u2013 wir sprechen hier vom 11. M\u00e4rz und das ist mehr Schnee, als wir den ganzen (echt kalten) Winter \u00fcber hatten. Und jetzt ratet mal mit welchem Fahrzeug wir unterwegs waren \u2013 ganz genau \u2013 dem Truck. Also sind wir den ganzen Weg nachhause gerutscht (und ich fand das so gar nicht gut). Fairerweise muss ich auch sagen, dass fast der komplette Schnee am fr\u00fchen Nachmittag wieder weggeschmolzen war, echt krass bei der Menge… aber gut so! Jedenfalls klingelte kurz vor der besten Mittagsessenszeit das Telefon und Bill sagte, dass er sich zum Mittagessen ausf\u00fchren w\u00fcrde und ob wir mitkommen m\u00f6chten. Klar doch. Die beiden haben uns eingesammelt und er startete gen Norden, nach Kirksville um genau zu sein. Dort landeten wir in einem mexikanischen Restaurant, dass seinen letzten Tag hatte und (keine Shrimps mehr, keine Chorizo, kein Busch Light, fast keine scharfen So\u00dfen mehr und keinen Tequila Gold) und dann in einer Bar mit einem echt heruntergekommenen Keller in dem wir stundenlang Billard und Tischfu\u00dfball spielten. Das macht jetzt den 6. Sonntag in Folge, an dem ich erfolglos nochmal f\u00fcr ein paar Stunden mit einem Buch auf die Couch wollte, lol. Das n\u00e4chste Wochenende kommt bestimmt…
