We were in Kansas City for Adam’s birthday gift this past weekend – namely two distillery tours on Saturday: J Rieger Co and Tom’s Town Distilling Company. Both were great and very interesting. The first tour was actually conducted by the three guys that run the place, so it took about two hours and they really did an amazing job. I want to start a distillery myself now :). Funnily enough there was another couple that went to the exact same two tours!
\nAm Wochenende waren wir f\u00fcr Adams Geburtstagsgeschenk in Kansas City<\/strong>, um genau zu sein waren wir bei zwei Distillerien zu Touren angemeldet. Beide waren wirklich gut unt sehr interessant. Die erste Tour wurde von den drei Besitzern der Distillerie gef\u00fchrt und dauerte gut 2 Stunden – war aber echt klasse. Ich w\u00fcrden dann jetzt auch gerne eine Distillerie er\u00f6ffnen :). Lustigerweise war ein P\u00e4rchen ebenfalls bei den beiden Touren, an denen wir teilgenommen haben.<\/strong>

\n<\/a>The second\u00a0tour\u00a0was actually a lot different from the first one – much shorter, much more professional in the sense that they had a video of the founders, the history behind it and little place mats for the samples. We very much enjoyed both, though the first tour was probably the better one. That being said: Tom’s Town has an awesome bar and we very much enjoyed our drinks there.
\nWe also spent the night in a room with our own whirlpool tub which was awesome since it was sleeting at 15 degrees outside.
\nDie zweite Tour war ganz anders als die erste – viel k\u00fcrzer und etwas professioneller (mit Video zur Historie und gedruckten Platzkarten unter den Probier-„H\u00e4ppchen“). Uns haben beide wirklich gut gefallen, die erst aber noch mehr als die zweite. Daf\u00fcr hat die zweite Distillerie eine Bar und die Drinks dort waren wirklich gut.
\nAu\u00dferdem hatten wir ein Hotelzimmer mit unserer eigenen Whirlpool Badewanne – total angebracht, da es drau\u00dfen Schneeregen und weit unter 0 Grad hatte.<\/strong>\"\"
