On Saturday Adam was getting the garage ready for our next load of wood and as he was moving the last pieces of wood from the old load into the house, he was suddenly hissed at loudly. Turns out there was a bat behind one of the logs and man, was it angry!! It kept hissing, but would not move – Adam had to use the broom (gently, because I was really not wanting it to get hurt) to get it off the wall and it was fighting to stay there until the end (showing teeth and hissing still). Our theory was that it was not waking up enough to move, but who knows… We finally got it out and into the driveway and onto our lawn where it disappeared about an hour later – just as I was getting ready to build it a little bat cave under the back porch.
\nAm Samstag hat Adam in der Garage Platz f\u00fcr die n\u00e4chste Ladung Holz gemacht und w\u00e4hrend er das letzte St\u00fcck alten Holzes ins Haus r\u00e4umen wollte, wurde er pl\u00f6tzlich laut angefaucht. Wie sich herausstellte, hatte sich eine Fledermaus hinter einem der Holzst\u00fccke verteckt und die war echt sauer!! Sie fauchte und fauchte, aber bewegte sich kein St\u00fcck. Adam hat sie vorsichtig (weil ich nicht wollte, dass er ihr weh tut) mit einem Besen versucht von der Wand abzul\u00f6sen, aber sie wehrte sich sehr und bis zum bitteren Ende (inklusive Z\u00e4hne zeigen). Unsere Theorie war, dass sie nicht wach genug war, um sich richtig zu bewegen, aber wer wei\u00df… Jedenfalls haben wir sie endlich in die Einfahrt bef\u00f6rdert und auf unseren Rasen geschoben; eine Stunde sp\u00e4ter war sie weg – und das gerade als ich ihr eine H\u00f6hle unter der Terasse im Garten bauen wollte.<\/strong>

\nAfter being closed due to the extreme cold for the last two weeks, the car washes around town finally re-opened this weekend – our car so needed it! But it was still pretty wintry-looking in there.
\nNachdem alle M\u00f6glichkeiten der Autow\u00e4sche in den letzten 2 Wochen aufgrund der K\u00e4lte geschlossen waren, war es nett, am Samstag endlich wieder Zugang zu erhalten – unser Auto hatte es bitters n\u00f6tig.
