Let’s start with the not-so-fun part if this week: step 1 in the long process of getting a tooth implant: getting my last baby tooth pulled. *Sigh* I had liked it so well ;). I guess I should be happy it held up without any issues until I was 33. Still kind of wish I could have kept it until it just fell out on its own.
\nFangen wir mal mit dem am Wenigsten erbaulichen Thema der Woche an: Das Ziehen meines letzten Milchzahns. Schn\u00fcff. Dabei hing ich doch so an ihm ;). Das ist der erste Schritt auf einem monatelangen Weg zu einem Implantat, da es keinen Nachfolgezahn gibt… Ich meine immerhin hat er bis 33 gehalten. Trotzdem h\u00e4tte ich ihn lieber auf nat\u00fcrlichem Wege verloren.<\/strong>

\nSpring knew its first day was this week for sure – the trees started budding right on cue!
\nDer Fr\u00fchling wusste, dass er diese Woche angefangen hat – die B\u00e4ume haben zum perfekten Zeitpunkt angefangen ihre Knospen zu \u00f6ffnen.<\/strong>

\nMy personal highlight of the week was our favorite movie theater showing Toni Erdmann (the German movie that was nominated for Best Foreign Film this year at the Oscars). IN GERMAN WITH ENGLISH SUBTITLES :)!! I was probably the only person who got it all, but to be fair – the subtitles weren’t as bad as they could have been and Adam really liked it too.
\nMein pers\u00f6nliches Highlight diese Woche war, dass unser Lieblingskino Toni Erdmann gezeigt hat. Auf Deutsch mit englischen Untertiteln :)!! Ich war mit ziemlicher Sicherheit die einzige in dem Kino, die alles richtig verstanden hat, aber die Untertitel waren wirklich nicht schlecht und Adam hat der Film auch echt gut gefallen.<\/strong>

\nAnother highlight was Deb’s 60th birthday on Friday (Owen told her a few weeks ago that he thought she was 40, which is obvisouly incredibly old to him, but Deb loved it so we’ve been going with that :D). She was going to have a big party outside with a bonfire and all that jazz, but it just happened to be the third day this year that it rained on. Not rained actually, poured all afternoon. So the party was moved to the basement, but no less fun. Especially once the old people’s diaper cake got taken apart and utilized for all kinds of funny pictures:
\nEin weiteres Highlight war Debbies 60. Geburtstag am Freitag (Owen hat vor ein paar Wochen zu ihr gesagt, dass er glaubt, dass sie 40 ist – super alt f\u00fcr ihn, aber toll f\u00fcr sie, also haben wir das seit Wochen so weitererz\u00e4hlt :D). Sie wollte gro\u00df im Garten feiern, mit Feuer und allem Drum und Dran, aber nat\u00fcrlich war das der 3. Tag in diesem Jahr an dem es geregnet hat. Nicht nur geregnet, aus Eimern gesch\u00fcttet und zwar den ganzen Nachmittag lang. Kein Problem, die Party wurde einfach in den Keller verlegt und alle hatten trotzdem gro\u00dfen Spa\u00df. Vor allem nachdem die Windel-Torte (Windeln f\u00fcr Inkontinenz im Alter) auseinandergenommen und f\u00fcr alle m\u00f6glichen lustigen Bilder verwendet wurde:
