So this week started on a slightly more exciting note than any other week – on Monday night I was just coming upstairs from Adam and I finishing a movie to this message on my phone:
\nDiese Woche startete etwas aufregender als normale Wochen – am Montagabend kam ich nach oben (Adam und ich hatten einen Film angeschaut) und sah diese Nachricht auf meinem Handy:<\/strong>

\nIt was 9:20 so definitely still relevant, so we each grabbed a kid out of their beds and hung out downstairs for about 20 minutes (ready to get under the stairs if the house started disintegrating). It stormed hard – thunder, non-stop lightning and hail, but luckily no tornados in Macon. There was one spotted South of Bevier and in Clarence, so pretty close to home. Quite exciting that…
\nEs war 21:20 Uhr, also definitiv relevant und im n\u00e4chsten Moment gingen drau\u00dfen die Sirenen los. Also haben wir jeder ein Kind geschnappt (aus ihren Betten) und sie in den Keller getragen und unseren Verschlag unter den Treppen ausger\u00e4umt, so dass wir im Notfall dort alle Unterschlupf suchen k\u00f6nnten. Es st\u00fcrmte ausgiebig (Hagel, Gewitter, krasser Wind), aber vom Tornado blieben wir verschont. Es gab allerdings zwei in direkter Umgebung – einen ca. 10 Minuten s\u00fcdwestlich und einen ca. 10 Minuten gen Osten. Spannend war das…<\/p>\n

<\/strong>On a more positive note: Adam got his degree sent to him this week :).<\/strong>
\nPositives gibt es auch zu berichten: Adam ist fertig mit der Uni :).<\/strong>

\n<\/a>Last but not least a small kitchen post – these dough balls covered in vanilla sauce and poppy seeds are a favorite of mine and since it had cooled off nicely after the storm, the weather was just right for them.
\nZu guter letzt noch ein kleiner Gru\u00df aus der K\u00fcche – die Dampfnudel musste es mal wieder sein (nach dem Sturm hat es von 22 auf 2 Grad abgek\u00fchlt, also jetzt wieder Winter hier…).<\/strong>
