We\u2019ve had the busiest week in a long time this week \u2013 Monday was Alyssa\u2019s band concert, Tuesday was Owen\u2019s kindergarten graduation, Wednesday was a track meet that Alyssa took part in, Thursday we did movie night and Friday we were at Bill& Deb\u2019s. It was also the last week of school which means we\u2019re basically switching to \u201cno kids\u201d for the next three months.<\/p>\n

The band concert was actually really good (and immeasurably better than the first one in December ^^) and Alyssa was more than ready \u2013 she will also continue playing through Middle School, so I\u2019m looking forward to better and better concerts in the 3 years to come :).
\nKindergarten graduation in and of itself is something we shake our heads about (especially since pre-school graduation was just a year ago), but Owen wanted to go, so of course we went. It was actually quite funny, because some of those kids were incredibly goofy.
\nAfter starting out the week with really cold weather, we were happy that it had gotten a lot better by Wednesday \u2013 that made sitting at the track meet all the more enjoyable. Alyssa did great – she got first place in the 200m dash and second in the 400m dash. Her relay team really stood no chance as they had to compete against well-practised 6th graders.<\/p>\n

Wir hatten diese Woche eine der stressigsten Wochen seit langem \u2013 am Montag war Alyssas Bandkonzert, am Dienstag war Owens Kindergarten Abschlussfeier, am Mittwoch war ein Leichtathletik-Event an dem Alyssa teilgenommen hat, am Donnerstag war unser w\u00f6chentlicher Filmabend und am Freitag waren wir bei Bill& Debbie. Es war au\u00dferdem die letzte Schulwoche, was hei\u00dft das wir ab jetzt 3 Monate lang quasi \u201ekinderfrei\u201c haben.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Das Bandkonzert war tats\u00e4chlich wirklich gut (und unendlich viel besser als das im Dezember ^^) und Alyssa war schon seit Wochen allzeit bereit \u2013 sie wird auch f\u00fcr die n\u00e4chsten 3 Jahre weiterspielen und ich freue mich schon auf immer besser werdende Konzerte in den n\u00e4chsten Jahren :).<\/strong>
\n Eine Kindergarten Abschlussfeier an sich ist ja eher unn\u00f6tig (das war nur ein Jahr und er hatte von der Vorschule aus letztes Jahr auch eine Abschlussfeier), aber Owen wollte gerne hingehen, also waren wir nat\u00fcrlich da. Es war ehrlich gesagt ziemlich witzig, da es total lustig war die ganzen Kinder zu beobachten.<\/strong>
\n Nachdem es Anfang der Woche echt kalt war, waren wir am Mittwoch froh \u00fcber h\u00f6here Temperaturen \u2013 sonst h\u00e4tte das Drau\u00dfen-Sitzen beim Leichtathletik-Event deutlich weniger Spa\u00df gemacht. Alyssa hat sich super geschlagen – sie war erste beim 200m Sprint und zweite beim 400m Sprint. In der Staffel \u00fcber 400m hatte ihre Gruppe leider keine Chance, da sie gegen ge\u00fcbte Sechstkl\u00e4ssler antraten.
