Last weekend I ventured into unchartered waters in the kitchen and made tiny meatballs (my first attempt at classic meatballs, although I have made an Asian variation before). Aren\u2019t they cute :)?
\nAnni-way, I kept making new things this weekend as well and added a Thai cucumber salad to my well-known Satay (which Adam had never had so I guess it\u2019s all new somehow). I also finally tried making crackers with my favorite cheese – gruyere – and they are awesome. I\u2019ll definitely be making all those things again!
\nCan you tell I\u2019m sick of cooking the same old things over and over ^^? So for a third new dish within 7 days, I’m throwing in a warm lentil and potato salad tomorrow.<\/p>\n

Am vergangenen Wochenende habe ich mich k\u00fcchenm\u00e4\u00dfig mal an etwas ganz Neuem probiert und Mini-Fleischb\u00e4llchen gemacht (mein erster Versuch mit klassischen Fleischb\u00e4llchen, vorher hatte ich nur mal eine asiatische Variation getestet). Niedlich, oder :)?<\/strong>
\n Jedenfalls habe ich dieses Wochenende gleich weiter neue Dinge ausprobiert und zum altbekannten Sat\u00e9 (obwohl Adam meines noch nie gegessen hatte, also doch irgendwie neu) einen thail\u00e4ndischen Gurkensalat gemacht. Au\u00dferdem habe ich endlich mal die Gruy\u00e8re Cracker versucht und sie sind super geworden.
\nMerkt man, dass ich es satt bin immer die selben Sachen zu kochen ^^? Als drittes neues Gericht innerhalb von 7 Tagen werfe ich morgen Abend daher noch einen warmen Linsen-Kartoffelsalat in den Ring.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nGood Friday is a holiday at my work so I had my first day off since January 2nd<\/sup> this week (not counting weekends of course. But Adam was off, too \u2013 unbelievable, right?). So after going for a run in the morning, we spent the day in Columbia – looking for a new mattress (we tried about 20 ^^), buying Adam a sweater and shirt at ridiculously good sale prices and a cast iron griddle pan for yours truly. We also saw a movie and ate sushi for dinner – good times!<\/p>\n

Der freie Karfreitag war ein gro\u00dfer Grund zur Freude f\u00fcr mich \u2013 mein erster freier Tag seit dem 2. Januar (ich z\u00e4hle hier keine Wochenenden, die hatte ich auch frei. Aber Adam hat freitags ja nun auch frei \u2013 unglaublich, oder?).<\/strong>
\nAlso sind wir nach einer morgendlichen Joggingrunde nach Columbia gefahren und haben den Rest des Tages dort verbracht – mit <\/strong>Matratzen-Shoppen (wir haben ca. 20 ausprobiert ^^), Shoppen f\u00fcr Adam (super reduzierte Winterware) und eine gusseiserne Grillpfanne f\u00fcr meine Wenigkeit. Au\u00dferdem waren wir im Kino und abends Sushiessen – so lebt es sich gut!

\nIt’s official everywhere now (and I can travel again!) – out with the K\u00f6gler and in with the Maples ^^. And only the Germans will send you a recycled envelope with $3 in change :-D.
\nJetzt ist es endlich \u00fcberall offiziell (und ich kann wieder reisen!) – raus mit K\u00f6gler und rein mit Maples ^^. Und nur Deutsche w\u00fcrden einem einen recycelten Umschlag mit 3$ R\u00fcckgeld schicken :-D. <\/strong><\/p>\n
