This week I really don\u2019t have much to tell \u2013 it went by fast yet seemed to drag on an on forever \u2013 at least that\u2019s how it felt. I was constantly tired and felt like going to bed as soon as I got home from work every night. Oh well, better luck next week.
\nThe weather has been slightly crazy (\u201cThat\u2019s Missouri for you\u201d is what I hear on a daily basis) \u2013 one day it\u2019s 59 degrees, the next it doesn\u2019t get above 32\u2026 So we\u2019ve been burning wood one day and the windows open the next, because the air outside was so nice.Diese Woche gibt es nicht so furchtbar viel zu berichten \u2013 sie war schnell vorbei und zog sich doch ewig \u2013 gef\u00fchlt\u00a0 jedenfalls. Ich war grund-m\u00fcde und h\u00e4tte jeden Abend nach der Arbeit auch gut ins Bett gehen k\u00f6nnen. So ist das halt manchmal \u2013 ich hoffe auf Besserung.
\nDas Wetter spielt zurzeit leicht verr\u00fcckt (\u201eSo ist das in Missouri\u201c h\u00f6re ich ungef\u00e4hr einmal am Tag) \u2013 an einem Tag hat es 18\u00b0 und Sonne, am n\u00e4chsten geht es nicht \u00fcber 0\u00b0 hinaus… Also hatten wir in den letzten Wochen mal den Ofen an und haben mit Feuer geheizt und mal die Fenster auf, weil die Luft echt sch\u00f6n war.<\/strong><\/p>\n

After I\u2019ve been told multiple time that my \u201eoffice\u201c walls are too empty, I\u2019ve brought in a few things from home and put them up: my always perfectly fitting postcard (it says \u201cOffice for spectacular spontaneous wish fulfillment, what can I do for you today?\u201d and I already had it hanging up in my old office in Germany) as well as a picture of us that was taking at the company\u2019s Fall Party, one week before I got hired. Of course I also consider my water cup to be decorative \ud83d\ude42 (it\u2019s from my favorite German band).
\nNachdem ich jetzt schon mehrfach geh\u00f6rt habe, dass meine \u201eB\u00fcro\u201c-W\u00e4nde so kahl seien, habe ich jetzt mal was von zuhause mitgebracht und aufgeh\u00e4ngt: die immer noch perfekte Postkarte (hing schon in meinem Welthungerhilfe-B\u00fcro) und ein Foto von uns, dass bei der Firmen-Party im Herbst (1 Woche vor meiner Einstellung hier) gemacht wurde. <\/strong>Nat\u00fcrlich z\u00e4hle ich auch meinen Wasserbecher zur Deko :-).

On Sunday the Broncos will be playing in the Super Bowl which we will not be watching with Bill& Deb for a change, but at Adam\u2019s co-workers house together with a few other people. I\u2019m rather pessimistic by nature, but so far that seems to have helped the Broncos move on \u2013 so let\u2019s hope for the best (otherwise our drive back home will be rather depressing ^^).
\nAm Sonntag spielen die Broncos im Superbowl, also dem Football-Saison Endspiel und nach wie vor einem der TV-Ereignisse mit den h\u00f6chsten Einschaltquoten des Jahres. Zur Abwechslung schauen wir uns das Spiel mal nicht mit Bill& Debbie an, sondern sind bei einer Kollegin von Adam mit ein paar weiteren Leutchen eingeladen. Ich bin ja von Natur aus eher pessimistisch, aber bisher hat das den Broncos anscheinend Gl\u00fcck gebracht \u2013 also hoffen wir mal auf das Beste (sonst wird das eine unsch\u00f6ne Heimfahrt ^^).<\/strong><\/p>\n

Adam and his friend Kory took the Elantra\u2019s motor apart two days this week to find out if it was indeed warped or otherwise broken. It\u2019s all looking pretty good and there doesn\u2019t seem to be any major damage. So we\u2019ll get the head shaved and put in a new radiator in the hopes of that getting it back up an running!
\nAdam hat zweit Tage lang mit einem seiner Freunde den Elantra-Motor auseinandergenommen und versucht das Problem zu diagnostizieren. Es sieht recht gut aus \u2013 keine gr\u00f6\u00dferen Sch\u00e4den festzustellen. Also wird jetzt ein Teil professionell geschliffen und der K\u00fchlwasserbeh\u00e4lter ersetzt, dann l\u00e4uft das gute St\u00fcck vielleicht schon wieder!

\n<\/strong>Oh and maybe I should mention that my eye check-up yesterday went very well indeed. This one’s eyes now have 20\/ 20 vision and everything lots great. Success :-)!
\nOh und vielleicht sollte ich noch erw\u00e4hnen, dass mein Augenarzt Termin gestern \u00e4u\u00dferst positive verlief. Meine Augen sind bei 100% Sehst\u00e4rke und alles sieht gut aus. Erfolg :-)!<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
